2017 Bright Angel Sauvignon Blanc
Morgan Lee VINEYARD
yountville, Napa Valley
AWARDED AN AMAZING 91 POINTS BY WINE REVIEW ONLINE!!!
Nestled on the floor of the beautiful Yountville AVA, Morgan Lee Vineyard thrives in the cool, crisp mornings breaking into warm sunny afternoons allowing the Sauvignon Blanc grapes to flourish. Using a GDC trellising system, the grapes are spaced for optimal sun exposure and increased protection from frost. This satiny crisp and elegant wine is not your classic Sauvignon Blanc.
This wine was fermented in a concrete egg and blended with 3% Chardonnay to produce a soft, rich and elegant wine. The translation in the bottle yields earthy flavors and mineral essence layered with tropical fruit, melon and just a hint of grapefruit on the nose.

2016 Bright Angel Chardonnay
sangiacomo Roberts Road
Several factors combine to make Sangiacomo Roberts Road Vineyard one of the best Chardonnay sites in northern California: well drained soils, clonal diversity, and the climate.
Coastal influence shines through our Sangiacomo Roberts Road Chardonnay with great fruit and acid balance. The moderate climate of the 2016 growing season produced small clusters and low yields for concentrated flavors and length. A combination of new, once-used and neutral french oak barrels were used during fermentation. The wine displays light tropical fruit, ripe apple and pear finishing with great structure, richness and just the right finish.
1-5 Bottles: $48.00/bottle
6-11 Bottles: $43.20/bottle
12+ Bottles: $38.40/bottl6

2015 Bright Angel Cabernet Sauvignon
Warm sunshine and consecutive years of drought delivered tiny berries packed with flavor. Built around a structured core of hillside and mountain fruit, our head winemaker, Eric Hansen, superbly blended the powerful tannins of the mountain grapes with the ripened fruit characteristics of the valley floor.
Our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon was handcrafted Bordeaux style and aged 18 months in French Oak. We made this wine a little bolder than our 2014 vintage using 91% Napa Cabernet, 4% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. The result is another great wine ready to drink now that will soften over the next 3-5 years.
1-5 Bottles: $70.00/bottle
6-11 Bottles: $63.00/bottle
12+ Bottles: $56.00/bottle
2014 Bright Angel Cabernet Sauvignon
Atlas Peak ava, Napa Valley
94 POINTS BY RICH COOK OF WINE REVIEW ONLINE
Stagecoach vineyard is the quintessential Napa Valley mountain fruit Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard climbs from 900 to 1700 up the southern face of Pritchard Hill to the top of Atlas Peak. We source our Cabernet from a small block near the top of the vineyard that is very low yielding.
Bright Angel was started in the hopes of producing a wine from an iconic vineyard and we found the one in our second year. This is opulence in a bottle…complimented by black fruits, chocolate and dried herbs leading to a finish anchored by fully integrated silky tannins.
1-5 Bottles: $100.00/bottle
12+ Bottles: $80.00/bottle
ERIC HANSEN, OUR WINEMAKER
You are reading this biography on either a large, medium or handheld sized computer screen. You can thank Eric Hansen for that. Eric began his professional career at Intel, where he worked to introduce people to a revolutionary device called the personal computer. Without firing a single shot, Eric and his fellow revolutionaries won the war and now the entire planet is fluent in dotcom.
During a successful career as software consultant for notables like Stanford University, Williams-Sonoma, Levi Strauss, Price Waterhouse Coopers, The California Teachers Association and Chevron, Eric fell in love with wine. Extensive reading and tasting led to studies at UC Davis, Napa Valley College and Las Positas College. A revolutionary career change soon followed.
Eric’s professional involvement with wine started at Cline Cellars in Sonoma, where he managed the tasting rooms at both Cline and Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. He moved to the production side starting with a short internship at Bedrock Wine Company before becoming a wine lab technician at Crushpad, then with Etude in Sonoma before joining the winemaking team at The Wine Foundry. Eric loves wine, food, golf, fly-fishing, Italy, and his wife Maureen (not necessarily in that order).
